Fire Island is known for many things — lovely beaches, lip-synching parties, drama — but now is the time to shine for the vacation spot's relatively unheralded dinner-party culture. Publishers Marketplace reports that publisher Atria has bought the rights to The Fire Island Cookbook, Mike DeSimone and Jeff Jenssen's "treasure trove of recipes and dinner party menus influenced by the summer enclave of Fire Island." Presumably it'll be out in time for next summer.
