Sasha Petraske’s Mad Men–style bar has yet to materialize in midtown, but as of today, you can enjoy his cocktails in the landmark building that houses the Chatwal Hotel. After a two-year delay, the Lambs Club (a collaboration between Geoffrey Zakarian and the team from Lotus and Double Seven) has opened for breakfast and drinks, with lunch following next week and dinner after Labor Day. The space, designed by Thierry Despont, consists of an 80-seat restaurant and 60-seat mezzanine bar decorated with portraits of the Lambs, the prestigious theatrical group that once convened at the building.
