Tonight, New York’s latest poolside rooftop bar, Trump Soho’s Bar d’Eau, throws open its doors. Located on the hotel’s seventh-floor spa deck, the 6,000-square-foot pool area is the first New York nightlife foray of South Beach team KNR, who also opened the hotel’s restaurant Quattro Gastronomia Italiana, and features your standard sybaritic amenities: cascading waterfall, private cabanas, bocce court.

Following the established pool-bar model, the spot will be open to all hotel guests during the day, while the clubby evening scene is restricted to an exclusive list of “invited guests” only (though presumably not so exclusive as the list at the imminently privatizing Le Bain). The $18 specialty cocktails range from a Tiki-inspired pineapple-cherry Mekhong Sling, to a clover-infused tequila, to an almost wintry tea-infused bourbon decked out with lemon and honey. If you decide to eat, the kitchen has a small-plates menu of lamb sliders, flatbreads, curry lobster rolls, and a selection of sushis and tartares. Just be sure to wait a half-hour before jumping into the pool. Check out the menu below, and then tour the space in our slideshow.
