First Look at Mini-Burger, the Latest Slider Joint on St. Marks

We’re told the Sunburnt Cow just changed its menu to consist solely of $8 to $12 burgers and a handful of appetizers and salads, and it’s not the only East Villager going all-burger all the time. The city lost its lone dumplavoli vendor when Marco Polo Café, the tiny St. Marks Place takeout joint that conceived the dumpling-ravioli hybrid, reopened as Mini Burger a few days ago. HuiHui Magaddino says she and her husband Stefano landed some new investors and decided to dedicate the menu to $1.50 sliders because “business was so slow over the summer,” and the mini-burgers proved a hit when she started offering them at Marco Polo some weeks ago. The lil’ cuties are even smaller than the White Manna-style sliders that go for $2 a pop at Mark a couple of blocks away, but you have your choice of sausage, bison, or beef patty. The menu is below — it’s available till 11 p.m. on weekdays and till 3 a.m. on weekends.

Mini Burger, 102 St. Marks Pl., nr. Ave. A; 212-228-8456
