Le Comptoir Launches Dinner; Lowcountry Hosts Fried Chicken Football Dinners

Carroll Gardens: Taste up to 25 soups at the Smith Street Soup Festival on Saturday. Starting at 1 p.m., the food festival allows people to sample and judge soups from local restaurants as they stroll along Smith Street from Atlantic Avenue to Carroll Street. West Village: Starting on October 25, Lowcountry will host fried chicken and football dinners on Monday nights. The set menu includes sweet-tea-brined fried chicken, macaroni salad, and barbecued black-eyed peas. The restaurant will also serve its first brunch this Saturday. [Fork in the Road]
Williamsburg: Le Comptoir is now serving dinner from Thursday to Sunday. In addition to the menu here, there’s a “Spontaneous Chef’s Tasting” of six courses for $45. Daily dinner service will launch once the liquor license comes in. [Grub Street]
