Jean-Luc Naret, the dapper Frenchman tasked with selling Michelin to skeptical new markets such as New York and Tokyo (and who couldnt manage to sell it to L.A.), is stepping down, according to Diners Journal. No longer will he have to robotically defend the guide against criticism of French bias, and he can officially retire his mantra, Were only looking at whats on the plate. Naret will now be a consultant for the company.
