The Feast has a clip of Tom Colicchio busting out one of his fancy guitars for Warren Zevon’s “Lawyers, Guns And Money” at Riverpark’s opening party last night, and also brings news that Mario Batali’s acting debut, Bitter Feast, makes its New York premiere at the ReRun Gastropub Theater tomorrow. As you’ll recall, Batali plays the owner of a restaurant whose chef seeks revenge on a critic. The movie, along with Bourdain’s “ultraviolent food nerd” graphic novel, may just constitute a trend: Earlier this week, Slice pointed to Takeout, an online short (filmed at Paulie Gee’s) about a violently vengeful waitress.
