Eleven Madison Park didn’t pick up a second star from Michelin, but it’s a five-star restaurant in the eyes of the Forbes Travel Guide, formerly the Mobil Travel Guide. Daniel also rose to five stars, and joins Jean Georges, Le Bernardin, Masa, and Per Se, along with Alinea and Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago, the Dining Room at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, the French Laundry in Yountville, Fountain in Philadelphia, and about a dozen other restaurants nationwide. Have a look at the five and four-star picks — the Forbes Travel Awards are hardly as coveted as Michelin or Zagat, but they’re “based on objective evaluations of more than 500 attributes,” for what that’s worth!
