First Look at Café Kristall, Kurt Gutenbrunner’s Swarovski Restaurant

On November 15, the Wallsé chef will open Café Kristall in the Soho Swarovski store. (It’s in soft-open-mode now, with limited hours and no liquor.) As you might expect, it’s all clean lines and sparkly surfaces inside. And a look at the menu reveals that the food is exactly the kind of simple more-fit-for-lunch-than-dinner fare — Caesar salad, salmon with Riesling sauce — you’d expect a Michelin-starred chef to cook in a crystal shop.
