What to Eat at Spasso, Opening Next Week in the West Village

By
Charred octopus, cucumbers, yogurt, mint.

Bobby (Choptank) Werhane opened dell’anima and L’Artusi. Craig Wallen cooked at Convivio and Lupa. Now the two Italophiles have teamed to create Spasso, a casual spot with an open kitchen, house wines on tap, and a menu that stands out even in this pasta-crazed age. Among the multiregional selections: fried oysters with Meyer-lemon crema and chicory, baked mozzarella cannelloni alla Norma, and roasted poussin with winter panzanella. Take a look at the menu and our slideshow.
