Bistrong Leaves Braeburn for Bouley

Following up on an Eater report that Brian Bistrong closed his solid if somewhat isolated West Village neighborhood spot, Braeburn last week, Diner’s Journal confirms that the onetime Harrison chef is going to work for David Bouley, just as Shea Gallante did in between leaving Cru and opening Ciano. A goodbye message from Bistrong’s blog reads: “Even though Braeburn will no longer exist in the West Village, what remains is our enthusiasm for local and high quality food, a fervid interest in wine and spirits, and creating memorable dining experiences. We have no doubt that our next ventures will posses all of these elements.”
