It comes as no surprise that the late Elaine Kaufman bequeathed Elaine’s to her longtime manager, Diane Becker (Becker continues to say she’ll run the restaurant as usual), but the Times reveals less expected details about her will: Kaufman also left two buildings to Becker, and gave $10,000 each to the restaurant’s maître d’hôtel, her personal secretary, and her housekeeper. She also divided $200,000 among nephews.
