When he’s not addressing serious topics like freezing spending to reduce the budget deficit, our prez can be a bit of a card. During last night’s State of the Union address, Obama trained his razor-sharp dad humor on a topic near to our hearts: smoked salmon! (According to this handy word cloud, it’s pretty much the only thing most Americans will remember from the speech.) But isn’t smoked salmon kind of eighties? — if he really wanted to appeal to foodies, Obama should’ve mentioned sea urchin or something, but see, it made sense in the context. He said, the Interior department controls salmon in fresh water, while the Commerce department… Oh, never mind, just watch the video if you haven’t seen it!
