Foursquare revealed that Americans pretty much only want to eat burgers and tacos, but Foodspotting’s list of its most-photographed New York City dishes is a little bit more encouraging: Sure, pizzas from Grimaldi’s and Di Fara, and burgers from Stand and Shake Shack are on there, but so are two types of ramen (Ippudo), lobster rolls (Luke’s), cupcakes (Sugar Sweet Sunshine), pork buns (Momofuku Ssam), arepas (Caracas), doughnuts (Doughnut Plant), banana pudding (Magnolia), pastrami sandwiches (Katz’s), steaks (Luger), Belgian fries (Pommes Frites), soup dumplings (Joe’s Shanghai), halal lamb and chicken (the cart at 53rd Street and Sixth Avenue), and rather unexpectedly, the grilled corn at Café Habana. And apparently people just can’t stop themselves from photographing City Bakery’s hot chocolate?
