West Village Gets a New, ‘Secret’ Restaurant

UrbanDaddy has caught wind of Hudson Clearwater, a newly opened restaurant accessed through a green door behind an abandoned storefront on Hudson and Bank Streets. They dont say whos behind it (matching this Times story about the spaces previous pop-up incarnation with the names on the liquor license indicates that the buildings owner, architect John Barboni, is teaming up with a relative Mark Barboni, along with a couple of other partners), but they do mention a giant chefs bar, a sunken dining room and the overwhelming smell of Cured Pork Belly.

The chef will be Wes Long, an alum of Savannah, Georgias Vida and Eos whose LinkedIn page describes Hudson Clearwater as a rustic American, seasonal, locally sourced restaurant in an early 1800's townhouse in the West Village of Manhattan
