Le Baron and Westway didn’t manage to get their acts together for Fashion Week, but New York’s first roast beef café cum occasional throwdown spot, Bowery Beef, took over its home, the Bowery Poetry Club, for a private party last night (for future events, operators Ray LeMoine and Mike Herman say they’ll also have access to Lounge next door). As of 3 a.m., Patrick Sweetra was calibrating the oven and Cam’ron was said to be on his way from the Bronx. Later in the week, Paul Sevigny will D.J. at the Catherine Fulmer presentation. We’re told the front room should be soft-opened for Blue Bottle drip today, with sandwiches rolling out next week, plus H&H; bagels and lox in the morning. The space is still coming together, but check out designer Gray Burton’s work as of yesterday, when we (and the Bosco delivery man!) paid a visit.

Menu
Coffee: $2.50
Roast beef sandwich: $5
w/cheese $6
Soda: $1 for small $2 for large
