Turns out GMT isn’t the only sleek, cavernous drink den new to the Bleecker Street area. Over on West Houston, a block away from Miss Lily’s (which will soon expand, according to Zagat), the owner of Soho watering holes Firefly and Gatsby’s has opened Buskers in the former Yama space. The narrow, semi-subterranean space that used to house Yama is now a slick lounge (there’s a D.J. booth, chocolate martinis, melon mojitos, and bottle service for $250 and up) that doubles as an after-work spot (there’s a long bar and pool table in the back). The food is prepared at one of the sister bars and transported over — check out the menu below and click through the slideshow to see the outdoor space (also narrow!) that may serve smokers in the summer.
