The Times earlier reported that Harry and Peter Poulakakos — owners of Harry’s Steak, Financier Patisserie, Ulysses, the forthcoming Growler Bites and Brews, and the Harry’s Italian Pizza Bar that’s set for the New Amsterdam Plein & Pavilion — just won a lease to bring a restaurant to the decrepit, 125-year-old Pier A at the edge of Battery Park, and now DNA Info has details about the $40 million, 25-year deal: An oyster bar and casual restaurant with outdoor seats will be topped with a second- and third-floor fine-dining establishment, to open as soon as the summer of 2012. Lower Manhattan’s outdoor-dining options just keep getting better and better.
