According to Crain’s, restaurant consultant and executive Ellen Kaye plans to open Moscow 57, a “contemporary version” of the Russian Tea Room, complete with live music and samovars from the original (her family owned it from 1946 to 1996, when they sold it to Warner LeRoy). Meanwhile, Diner’s Journal reports that another tea joint, Bosie, will open at 10 Morton Street on Thursday. Nicky Dawda, working with tea expert Kiley Holliday, will sell about 100 L’Âge de Thé varieties (to take home or to drink at a bar) as well as pastries by Bouley Bakery alum Damien Hergott.
