Tickets for the annual Vendy Awards, held on Governors Island, went on sale today, and if memory serves, those $80-plus tickets — proceeds support the nonprofit Street Vendor Project — go fast. If you don’t have the cash for the September 24 daylong eating and line-standing fest, volunteer. It’s free, and a few spots remain. (Judging this year will be John T. Edge.)
