Earlier this week, when we alerted you to the soft opening of the Highliner and showed you the forthcoming full menu, Charles Milite was still being shy about letting photographers in. Who can blame him: The closing of the Empire Diner touched off a fair amount of chatter about whether change would be a good thing. Milte respectfully preserved the diner’s exterior, but as you can now see in our slideshow, the interior is quite a bit brighter than it was pre-renovation. So what do you think: yay or nay?
