Michael Lomonaco is planning to open a wine bar this October at the Time Warner Center, in the open atrium space adjacent to his Porter House restaurant. "It took some time to negotiate with the landlord, but we are pumped!'' he told us when we caught up with him at Taste of the Upper West Side on Saturday. The new place, tentatively titled Center Bar, will serve small plates like ceviche and caviar with corn blinis, along with wine, Champagne, and cocktails. "It's a great location between Porterhouse and Per Se, and it has a wonderful view of Columbus Circle,'' says Lomonaco, who, as the former chef of Windows on the World, should know a thing or two about views.
