America Set to Finally Learn About Food Safety Through the Inescapable Power of Television

By

Since the world is now terrified of sprouts and potential E. coli contamination — thanks a lot, Europe — the USDA is rolling out a new ad campaign aimed at making people aware of how to avoid food-borne illness. (Is the concept of cleaning your food and tools really so complicated?) JWT New York (née J. Walter Thompson) is the agency responsible for the spots, which is good, because they're the same people who once produced a Swedish Fish ad that steered people away from kitten-eating. Anyway, watch an only-slightly-less-silly USDA ad below, or, if your afternoon is looking really slow, watch the whole campaign here.
