Have the wanton days of disco returned? Two upcoming events suggest as much. You can still get tickets to tomorrow night’s Dirty Disco Laundrette event we mentioned, where a Williamsburg laundromat will be converted into “one of the wildest and most visually stunning (underwear) parties the city has seen,” an announcement promises. Cocktails are detergent themed (naturally!) and free-flowing all night if you shell out $76 for a ticket, available here. Meanwhile, City Grit’s Sarah Simmons tells us she has a disco soiree in the works as well, though this one’s geared toward the daytime-party crowd. On Saturday, June 25, she’ll host Dance.Party.Brunch in the courtyard of Nolita’s the Old School (yes, it’s a former school), where the $45 ticket (purchase here) includes a menu of chicken-fried eggs, fried chicken, and cinnamon rolls, among other dishes; drinks are extra. Simmons says she’s leased the venue for “the next few months” and has a bunch of other events in the works, including a Foodspotting collaboration and “breakfast for dinner.”
