The team over at Gothamist got to wondering today: Wasn’t Counter supposed to be closed by now? It was! And yet there it sits, humming along. What gives? Turns out Alex Stupak — who plans to turn the location into an East Village Empellón outpost — is waiting for the SLA to hook him up with a liquor license.
