We’d noticed construction in the space a couple of doors down from cocktail bar the Randolph, and today co-owner Hari Kaylan tells us his team is planning an “American diner concept” at 343 Broome. The restaurant will be open from breakfast through dinner serving American comfort food, “augmented coffee” (like that served at the Randolph), and — if all goes well at the community board meeting this coming Tuesday — wine and craft beer. The Randolph folks have partnered with some Ruby’s and Kingswood alums for the project, which they hope to debut in the fall. Oh, and that underground music venue we mentioned a while back is now slated for fall as well.
