As reported earlier, not only is the “idyllic coastal town” of Westport, Connecticut, getting its own Shake Shack, it is also getting the second location of Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich’s enoteca and pizzeria Tarry Lodge. In a move that is sure to shatter the town’s dining scene, the Westport News reports today that both restaurants will open for business this week. The 100-seat Shake Shack opens on Wednesday with a gleaming new grill; Tarry Lodge will also have 100 seats and a wood-fired oven. (Tarry Lodge’s exact opening date has not been confirmed officially, but the restaurant had its launch party over the weekend and the reservations line opens for business tomorrow.) [Westport News]
