The great west-to-east hamburger (and mini-chain) migration continues: Eater spots a Monster.com ad for Steak ‘n Shake’s first New York City outpost, though the exact location and opening date for the Midwestern “Steakburger” chain have not been announced. [Update: Eater says it will be next door to the Ed Sullivan Theater, which might be welcome news to Indiana native David Letterman.] On a smaller scale, Fork in the Road notices that organic grass-fed-burger restaurant BareBurger is preparing its first Brooklyn location, at 170 Seventh Avenue in Park Slope; its Facebook says that could open before the end of the month. Fine and good, but when will we get bear burgers? [Eater NY, Fork in the Road/VV]
