It’s not just in L.A. where one day your favorite busboy is clearing a BLT, and the next he’s on Breaking Bad. New York’s hospitality industry has secret star power, too! Just hit up the second annual “Not My Day Job - Celebrate The Talent You Tip” fiesta on September 18, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Player’s Club, and see for yourself. The event features visual and performance art by New York’s resto-industry rock stars, from dishwashers to bartenders and all the surprises in between. Epicurean Management, a.k.a. the givers of ellabess, dell’anima, L’Artusi, and Anfora, is at the core of the sangria-stained talent show and silent auction, with all proceeds donated to Wellness in the Schools. Other restaurants participating are: Shake Shack, Fatty Crew, Market Table, Kuma Inn, and Marc Forgione. Those who work in the ‘biz get a discount; for the rest of us, tickets range from $30 to $80.
