If the meatpacking district increasingly seems like Jersey on a Saturday night, well, Jersey itself is becoming the new meatpacking (like, where meat is actually processed). Yet another of New York’s longtime purveyors is headed across the Hudson. As first announced back in May, DeBragga is officially following in the footsteps of rival LaFrieda and moving to Jersey. That leaves just seven of what was once hundreds of meat businesses in the hood. At least the Danny Meyer–restaurant-housing downtown Whitney will take over part of the space.
