Earlier today, we reported that Burger Club has high hopes for crushing it in New York. But the ‘Club better watch its back. Fatburger, the juicy West Coast fave — whose handmade onion rings are well-worth a nasty hangover — is shopping for locations all over town. CEO Andy Wiederhorn tells Grub, “In the next couple of months, you will see half a dozen Fatburgers in New York.” But first, Wiederhorn needs to find “independent operators who want to be in the Fatburger family.” (All interested parties, even a little bit, should email Degelhoff@fatburger.com.) In case you didn’t know, Fatburger, which Kanye owned a couple of, is “a notch above Five Guys” and “just under the gourmet burger restaurants, but only because of our lower price points.” It’s also huge in the Middle East — opening in Iraq this week.
