Alice caused a little drama.
Ann Warren, co-owner of Cupcake Cafe, which still thrives on Ninth Avenue but has been replaced by Alice’s Tea Cup inside that bookstore on 18th Street, wants everyone to know that even though it wasn’t an ideal departure, “It’s really okay. It took me a long time to realize it wasn’t the right situation.” The new Alice space apparently has a lot of kitchen square footage and should make for a grand new endeavor for the UWS institution.
