The Wren Opens Tonight; JBird on Hiatus

Bowery: The Wren, a new bar from the owners of Wilfie & Nell, opens tonight at 344 Bowery. [Eater NY]
Chelsea: Sueños is hosting a book-signing party on Sunday, December 18 from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring chefs like Bernard Guillas, author of Flying Pans: Two Chefs, One World, and Fanny Gerson, author of My Sweet Mexico, among others. East Village: The Cardinal will start selling T-shirts with notable North Carolina figures on them, including hardcore bands Corrosion of Conformity and North Carolina Hardcore and, of course, Michael Jordan. The tees will run at $15 apiece and are from American Apparel (you’ll recall Dov Charney is one of the restaurant’s investors). [Grub Street]
