Another Bump in the Road for Gowanus’ Whole Foods

It’s taking forever. And here’s one of the reasons why: A city panel has again denied Whole Foods permission to build on the banks of the Gowanus waterfront, bickering that the already-green store might still hurt the environment. We’ve heard it before and the opposition doesn’t seem to be lightening up. Quinoa-deprived Brooklynites say the city is just stalling, arguing that the positives (hello, carob-covered-almonds) far outweigh the negatives (whatever, pollution).
