A little while back, Ravi DeRossi shuttered his El Cobre restaurant in the Cienfuegos complex to ready Gin Palace, which he’s aiming to open March 1. In the meantime, El Cobre’s el cheapo happy hour has moved upstairs to the Cocteleria, with a new menu of $5 bites including a half-Cuban or jamón croquettes. Hours are still 5 to 7 p.m., but there’s a fun new name: Madrugador, meaning early bird. DeRossi tells us that two punches daily from his updated lineup will also go for five bucks a glass.
