Press reps for WP24 send us word today that Xi Jinping, also known as the vice president of a little place called China, came to dinner at the Downtown restaurant on Friday evening with his posse delegation. They chased the U.S.-China economic forum with Peking duck, Hong Kong-style striped bass, congee, and even some Yankee-style lo mein. It gets crazier, as Team China apparently also munched on some U.S. comfort here, dipping into honey fried chicken with gravy, okra, and jalapeno corn bread. Today, it’s WP24, Xi Jinping. But next visit, we’re taking you and the fellas to Roscoe’s!
