The Terry Francona days really are over: Red Sox Manager Bobby Valentine has decreed that beer will be banned in the Sox clubhouse and on team flights returning to Boston. Last week, team leader David Ortiz said he did all he could to discipline his chicken-eatin’-and-boozin’ team mates: “It’s not my job to walk on anyone. I’m just an employee, just like anyone else.
