The Titanic star is the latest celebrity to get into the coffee biz — following James Murphy’s talk of an upcoming espresso line, and Hugh Jackman’s new coffee shop. Not to be outdone, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (DiCaprio has a foundation, apparently) has lent its name to a line of beans from La Colombe. They’re totally sustainable and proceeds benefit environmental charities. A press release says the Leo-branded joe is part of the launch of an “ultra-high-end coffee line” from the roaster, dubbed LYON, which is being sold at Williams-Sonoma, Whole Foods, and online. All this celeb-backed coffee is making us think New York might need to add a new category to its celebrity economy coverage.
