Midtown: Midtown business owners have launched a campaign to remove food carts and street vendors from the area, reaching out to city officials and asking them to remove licenses. Dan Biederman, who heads the 34th Street Partnership behind the campaign, told DNA Info that vendors are “almost exclusively terrible citizens” and food vendors “are the ugliest collection of miserable-looking vehicles we’ve ever seen.” The organization says some “carts” are okay to stay — like Wafels and Dinges and Fruit-n-Juice.
