Looks like the former Darkroom will be lit up again come May 1, as Bodega, “an old-school Lower East Side bodega meets a sophisticated and sexy speakeasy,” and an informal extension of nearby whiskey joint No Fun. (The name and neighborhood sound a bit familiar, no?) Principal James Woods (not that one, this one), tells us that in addition to being a round-the-clock space serving up three squares and Perrier Jouet cocktails, you’ll be able to score cigarettes, potato chips, calling cards, and forties. No word yet on a feline front.
