Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo are mixing things up over at the Frankies franchise, turning Frankies Spuntino at 17 Clinton Street on the Lower East Side into Francesca, a Basque-style restaurant serving pintxos and tapas from northern Spain. Frankies as we know it will close on March 21 and reopen as Francesca on March 23. Spanish-trained Ryan Bartlow — who’s been spearheading the kitchen at the 570 Hudson Street location — will be the chef. Adios, Chianti. Hola, Tempranillo. [NYT]
