Planet Hollywood Is Leaving Earth, or at Least a Large Chunk of Times Square

Exactly what we need.
Exactly what we need.

Planet Hollywood — as we know it — will close in June, laying off all 277 of its employees, confirms the Times. The Times Square institution, which has been amusing cheese-balls tourists and entertainment junkies for over twenty years, will re-open as a much smaller version of itself, along with a large Buca di Beppo, the Italian chain. Workers will have to reapply for jobs and the Señor Pizza uniform might get retired. [NYT]
