Romera served its last luxe-to-ludicrous meal this weekend, closing up shop at the Dream Hotel. The fast and furious life span of the restaurant, combined with a mixed bag of extreme reactions from the critics, put Romera on the side of cartoonlike — impossible to take seriously. But as we said last week, the closing is still unpleasant news. Jobs were lost, someone’s dream was shattered. With that said, when insiders throw jabs, like this one and that one, before the body is even cold, is it all in good fun, or perhaps … in poor taste?
