Drinks scribe Luke O’Neil, who has shared his cocktail wisdom with Grub Street on a few occasions, tells us that he’s filming a TV pilot today and tomorrow, and he’s looking for extras. O’Neil says that the show, called Carousel, is a talk show set in a bar complete with live music, plus interviews with chefs and bartenders doing cocktail demos. And, if you’re nice, O’Neil says he might even buy you a drink. Maybe.

For his maiden taping, O’Neil visits Davis Square’s Saloon with Storyville’s feline-hatin’ Louis DiBicarri and Bridgestreet commando Will Gilson on the chef side, with cocktails from Saloon’s Dennis Cargil. Tomorrow, the show will film at the Davis Square Theatre, which is conveniently adjacent to Saloon. Bands You Can Be A Wesley, Wheat, and Field Effect are slated to perform (free). Taping starts at 6 p.m. sharp.

Cheers, Mr. O’Neil!
