We have an unusual little bit of news to share today: The Archimedes Banya (748 Innes Street), a true Russian-style co-ed bathhouse out in the Bayview that opened late last year, is soon adding beer and wine to their existing menu at the in-house restaurant, called Zteamers. You can already enjoy a plate of dried fish, or cooked salmon, or other Russian snack after steaming and soaking, as well as a non-alcoholic fermented rye beverage called kvass, but soon you’ll be able to have actual booze — just not vodka, unfortunately… they’re only applying for a beer-and-wine license. And be warned, if you don’t like being naked, this place is very naked, and it’s co-ed on weeknights and all weekend long. [Grub Street]
