Boston Is America’s Sixth-Best Brunch City, Says Food & Wine

Hangover-easy.
Hangover-easy.

A very respectable status indeed, since the cities that outranked us are huge (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, etc). F&W; name-checks Island Creek Oyster Bar and Sportello as key morning destinations, with a special callout to ICOB’s salt cod cakes with poached eggs and spicy tomato sauce. Not mentioned: Our personal favorite, smoked beef-tongue hash at Craigie on Main. Of course, sometimes we skip eating entirely and go straight for a scorching East Coast Grill Bloody Mary. [F&W;]
