Santos Uy’s low-cost Los Feliz Frenchie, Papilles, announces that it will boost its wine program with the introduction of BYOB on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Up until now, drinking has been limited to just two choices each week, a red and a white handpicked by the oenophile owner, who also owns wine bars Mignon and Bacaro, as well as the option to buy a bottle from the restaurant’s stash. Uy’s new BYOB policy offers free corkage for any French wines, while non-French wines will be hit with a somewhat more austere fifteen-dollar corkage fee.
