Boston’s Rosa Mexicano Will Be a Lot Like Miami’s Rosa Mexicano

Our very own Rosa Mexicano opens at the Seaport on May 8, a week later than planned and a few days after Cinco de Mayo—but in plenty of time for hordes of al-fresco diners to plop themselves in front of vats of guacamole. The restaurant will be helmed by Darren Carbone, formerly at Ken Oringer’s La Verdad. (What’s tougher? Cooking for the hungry Fenway masses or slew of Seaport visitors? We’re not sure.) Regardless, this Rosa will be a bit different than other branches.

According to a Rosa rep, many dishes at this outpost are only available at certain Rosa Mexicano locations and focus on shareable plates and “street-food inspiration.” We’re told that the menu will look quite a bit like their Miami menu, below, with our own neighborhood vendors and farmers providing the ingredients, naturally. Check it out. And remember this crucial detail: There’s a 130-seat patio.
