A couple weeks back we mentioned the Dinner Party Project which is serving as the opening series of events for this year’s SF Chefs (which actually starts July 30). Two new dinners have been added to the lineup which you might want to grab seat for: First up, Dominique Crenn and Commonwealth’s Jason Fox, who are cut from similar cloth in terms of their esthetics and taste in well-composed food, are joining forces on Sunday, July 8 for a collaborative, multi-course dinner at Atelier Crenn.

Both chefs use a combination of fresh California ingredients, innovative flavors, molecular techniques, and bold plating to create some of the best and most modern food in town, and it should be an interesting meal. Pricing is still TBA, but look for details to appear here shortly.

Next up, on July 19, the Mission location of Tacolicious will be hosting a collaborative Street Feast with chef Telmo Faria, Betelnut chef Alex Ong, and 4505 Meats’ Ryan Farr. Faria and Ong met when Ong was invited to be the first guest chef at a special event at Tacolicious, crafting some unique fusion tacos for fans, and all three chefs know each other through CUESA and the Thursday markets at the Ferry Building, where Farr’s hot dog and burger stand is always a big draw. The trio will be roasting a whole pig for the event and preparing family-style Asian- and Mexican-inspired platters for the feast. Also, Farr will be butchering a separate pig prior to the meal and auctioning off the cuts of pork to benefit CUESA. This dinner will be $95 per person ($85 for Visa Signature cardholders), inclusive of beverages of gratuity.

Both events will begin with complimentary Campari aperitifs, and will feature beverage pairings as well.

Again, refer here for details in the next few days.
