Stop driving into restaurants, people!

Just yesterday, Grub Street L.A. put together a montage of videos that show cars crashing into restaurants — a more common occurrence than you might think. In fact, yesterday afternoon a 75-year-old woman slammed into a Brooklyn McDonald’s with her minivan after she lost control while trying to park. And the accident, unfortunately, wasn’t victimless: A 64-year-old schoolteacher was trapped under the van and later died at Beth Israel Brooklyn. The news comes on the heels of two other incidents of restaurant-related vehicular chaos: an Ohio man purposely slamming his car into a Taco Bell and an Indiana accident that took out a Chipotle. Stay alert out there, people. [NYP]
